Wakkanai // 稚内市

We spent a September weekend exploring the far northern regions of Hokkaido. Wakkanai is the northernmost city in Japan, and the Russian influence is noticeable. Wakkanai Park sits on a mountainside overlooking the city and is home to a large herd of deer which manage to coexist alongside the shipping and fishing industries in the port.
